Métis Nation- Saskatchewan

I envision a Métis Nation-Saskatchewan where every citizen feels connected, valued, and supported, not just surviving but truly thriving.

 

A Nation where our people have access to affordable housing, healthy food, education, and meaningful work. Where Elders are respected, youth are empowered, and every citizen can see themselves reflected in the decisions made by their government. A Nation where our Michif language is no longer endangered, our stories are protected, our rights are recognized and upheld, and our culture is celebrated with pride. 

 

Where Métis Locals are supported, our governance is rooted in our communities, and the future is built together with care, courage, and our Michif values leading the way. Where the Métis Nation Legislative Assembly (MNLA) is empowered to lead, question, legislate, and to dream, not just respond to decisions made elsewhere. Our Métis government doesn’t grow from the top-down, it grows from the roots up. When those roots, our Citizens, Registry, Constitution, and MNLA,  are nourished and respected, we all thrive.

 

As YOUR Provincial Secretary, I will work toward this future by supporting citizen-led governance, help build strong Locals, and ensuring our Nation grows in a way that reflects who we are.
